It’s been taking me a while to get the new brush set fully ready for release. Technically it is meant to be Mojo 2, the improvement/expansion on the first Mojo cartooning brush set, available back here on DeviantArt, but I have decided to rebrand them as Kurio, as “mojo” seems to be used a lot for many things. I want the name to be a little more unique.
Some new inking brushes arrive, employing Krita’s bristle engine.

Much of the old brushes/pens have been tested and revised and improved, such as the sumi bamboo. The art pen is based on the liner, but unlike the liner’s rigid consistency has some give. Sometimes subtlety is important.

The lettering pen set has expanded, although with the introduction of the new Kurio template with the built-in lettering guide, I’m considering dropping the “brush-on” lettering guide. The new pens–Trope, Vamp, and Wild–join Zap for titles and sound effects.

Some old and new pens mimic what you’ve got lying around your desk already.

What’s the delay? I’m not sure if it’s any one thing, but I probably need to start raising some funds for a new PC, among other things. I’ve also been delaying new comics. I’m not ready to begin crowdfunding a book, but then I’m not really comfortable posting my work on social media either. Should I have a Patreon? A better website? I’ll should try to put together some kind of video, but I don’t have a mic either. I need to get my act together!
